Parents
Do Parents Matter?
Absolutely! In fact you matter more then you know and more than most youth will admit. From the perpsective of time, you have the potential to spend the most time with your teenager. From a biblical perspective, you are called by God to teach your teenager the statutes of God. From a statistical perspective there is no other person that your teen needs more then you. We believe in the power of parenting so much so that we view our ministry as an adition to the work you are already doing, not a replacement. It is our goal to be, at best, the second greatest spiritual influence your childs life.

Family devotions shouldn't be reserved for those with degrees in theology. They are designed for families grow and learn together. While we highly encourage every able person to have a personal study and family devotions. Family devotions provide a great oppotunity to discuss God's faithfulness, love, mercy, discipline, and salvaiton according to His Word. More often then not, parents fear teaching their children because they feel inadiquate as teachers. If that is a valid concern then I want to encourage you to start learning. But I aslo want you to realize that teenagers aren't looking for someone with all the answers as much as they are looking for someone who will get them the answers. As your teenager sees you study and grow they will follow your lead. Your time together can be as simple as reading a chapter a night or go to our resource page and click on one of the family devotion links to get a devotion!
